Italian Craftsmanship
Maison Skorpios entrusts the making of its creations to Italian artisans whose craftsmanship perpetuates a shoemaking tradition passed down from one generation to the next.
Adriana Abascal's vision is developed in close collaboration with these workshops, where every silhouette is studied, refined and perfected until the desired balance is achieved. Proportions, the arch, the line of the boot and its comfort are all considered with meticulous precision through successive stages of development and prototyping.
Nothing is left to chance. A line may be refined by a few millimetres, the balance of a heel adjusted, or the curve of a silhouette revisited until it reaches its intended expression. This same level of precision extends to every detail, including the hand finished touches.
Time is an essential part of this process. It allows the artisans to devote the attention each creation requires, ensuring that every silhouette faithfully reflects the Maison's vision.
As Adriana Abascal often says: "Craftsmanship is the real luxury."

The Material Library
Long before the first silhouette is drawn, Maison Skorpios builds a carefully curated library of leathers, textures and finishes that shapes its creative language.
Through her travels and ongoing dialogue with artisans, Adriana Abascal continually enriches this collection of materials. New textures, leatherworking techniques and distinctive finishes become part of an ever-evolving research process, guided as much by curiosity as by uncompromising standards.
Each leather is selected for its character, suppleness, structure and ability to accompany the silhouette over time. The depth of a colour, the richness of a grain and the way a material will evolve with wear are considered with the same attention as the design itself.
Beyond their aesthetic qualities, these materials play an essential role in defining the identity of the Maison's creations.
