Inspirations
The creative language of Maison Skorpios is shaped by a dialogue between art, architecture, travel and culture. Each collection is the result of references and inspirations patiently gathered over the years, long before the first sketch is drawn.
Under the creative direction of our founder, Adriana Abascal, Italy and Spain remain the Maison's enduring creative anchors. While Adriana was born in Mexico, Spain has long been her spiritual home. A life shaped between Italy, Paris and the Iberian Peninsula continues to inform the Maison's creative language. Andalusia, in particular, leaves a lasting imprint through its architecture, light, colours and artistic heritage.
Literature, cinema and the legacy of great artistic patrons, including the Medici family, further enrich the Maison's creative language. Rather than following passing trends, these influences are distilled into collections distinguished by timeless elegance, singularity and enduring character.
The art of the boot
The boot lies at the heart of Maison Skorpios' creative identity. Since its inception, the Maison has devoted itself to the continuous evolution of this iconic silhouette, guided by a pursuit of timeless elegance.
Rather than reinventing the boot with each
collection, Maison Skorpios continues to refine it, allowing every new creation to enrich an enduring design language. Knee-high boots, over-the-knee silhouettes, ankle boots and western styles all form part of the same design language, where materials, colours and architectural details reinterpret
familiar silhouettes while preserving an identity that remains unmistakably Skorpios.
The balance of the lines, the precision of the
proportions and the suppleness of the leather receive meticulous attention. The curve, volume and heel are each considered with precision, ensuring that elegance and comfort exist in perfect harmony. The arch is shaped to follow the natural movement of the foot, in a constant pursuit of balance and fluidity.
Maison Skorpios creations are distinguished by their signature brass ornament, inspired by the Maison's "S", one of the House's defining design codes.
The language of colour
Colour is one of the defining expressions of Maison Skorpios. Conceived with the same precision as form, proportion and material, every shade contributes to the character and identity of each creation.
The Maison's chromatic palette evolves with
continuity from one collection to the next, independent of seasonal colour trends. Warm earth tones, rich neutrals and deeply saturated hues define a distinctive visual language, while selected shades reappear over time, gradually shaping the Maison's own chromatic heritage.
Developed exclusively for the Maison's
collections, these colours emerge from a close dialogue with its Italian artisans. Pigments, finishes and hand-applied patinas are refined through an exacting process of experimentation until every leather reveals its intended depth, nuance and luminosity.
